BECOME A CUSTOMER/How To Sign-Up

The process is really quite simple so that you can concentrate your efforts on running your business. We handle all of the administrative work and ensure an uninterrupted flow of electricity and full performance of all supply contract terms.

The way the process works is as follows:

Step 1: You sign a Broker Agreement with Competitive Energy Services.

Step 2: We obtain your electricity usage history and other related information from your electric utility. This information is obtained on a confidential basis and is shared only with suppliers from whom we seek price quotes.

Step 3: We package the information for all of your accounts and provide this to suppliers that we have pre-qualified.

Step 4: We obtain price quotes from suppliers and prepare a comprehensive analysis comparing the price quotes and what you would otherwise pay for electricity if you take Standard Offer or Default Service through the utility. In addition, we highlight for your consideration any differences in the non-price terms and conditions of the various supplier contracts.

Step 5: You make a decision about which supply offer to accept and execute a supply contract with that supplier. If you do not want to take any of the offers, we obtain refreshed pricing for your account(s) on a regular basis until we provide you with a supply offer that is acceptable.

Step 6: Once you sign a supply contract, we make sure that your account is enrolled properly by the supplier, that the price you are charged on your bill matches the price on your contract and that your supply contract is otherwise managed appropriately by the supplier.

Step 7: We remain available throughout the term of your supply contract to resolve any issues that may arise or to assist you in any aspect of your supply contract or electricity usage.
