Competitive Energy Services - Massachusetts operates as a "broker" for electricity for commercial and industrial customers. As a broker, CES-MA does not take title to electricity. Instead, we assist you in obtaining electricity supply in the competitive market from those suppliers that are licensed to operate in Massachusetts. Accordingly, our customers enter into supply contracts with suppliers of electricity not with us.

Competitive Energy Services - Massachusetts works exclusively on behalf of our customers. Unlike in the real estate market, for example, where the broker often represents the seller of property, we represent the buyer of electricity and not the seller or supplier.

Also, unlike other industries in which there is an up-front fee collected by a broker, there is no up-front charge to utilize our services. Our fee is incorporated into the price paid for electricity by our customers. As a result, we do not get paid unless and until you execute a supply contract.
